Dr. Thomas Etue
Chiropractor in Washington
Dr. Thomas Etue is a chiropractor and the owner of Kingfisher Chiropractic, a modern chiropractic clinic serving Bellingham, Washington, and the greater Whatcom County area.
Dr. Etue was born in Seattle, spent some early years in Kitsap County, and was raised in Skagway, Alaska. He loved growing up in a small community, where he was an active student-athlete and developed an early interest in medicine. From a young age, he wanted to become a doctor and had a natural inclination to help people improve their health. Years later, a college sports injury led him to a great chiropractor who not only resolved his own back issue, but also set Dr. Etue on his path toward chiropractic medicine.
Dr. Etue earned his Bachelor’s degree in pre-med with a minor in psychology from the University of Alaska Anchorage and went on to receive his Doctorate of Chiropractic from National University of Health Sciences, located outside of Chicago.
During his training, he was a dedicated student, academic tutor, and club leader for the Motion Palpation Institute (MPI). He also became certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT), also known as the McKenzie Method – a rigorous and relatively rare credential for a chiropractor to hold. This additional training provides Dr. Etue with specialized expertise in treating radiating or referred pain, which often originates in the spine but spreads down the arms or legs. Dr. Etue has completed over 500 hours of postgraduate training and continues to study modern, evidence-based chiropractic education in order to provide the best possible treatment for his patients.
After graduating from chiropractic college, Dr. Etue spent five years practicing in integrative clinics across the country, refining his skills and learning from top clinicians. During this time, he collaborated with a wide range of healthcare providers – including chiropractors, physical therapists, medical doctors, surgeons, naturopathic doctors, acupuncturists, massage therapists and strength coaches – which gives him a broad clinical perspective and a deep appreciation for the many fields of healthcare.
In 2025, he decided it was time to return home to the Pacific Northwest to open his dream clinic, Kingfisher Chiropractic, with the mission of delivering safe, modern, and family-friendly chiropractic care to the community he loves.
Dr. Etue has experience treating patients from all walks of life – from newborns to seniors, manual laborers to office workers, pregnant mothers to professional athletes. Whether your goal is to enjoy the outdoors, play with your kids, get back to the gym, compete at a high level, or simply go to work without pain, Dr. Etue is here to help.
And whether you have been seeing a chiropractor your whole life or it will be your very first visit, Dr. Etue takes great pride in his ability to personalize the treatment to meet you exactly where you are in your comfort level and health goals.
Growing up in a small Alaskan town of just 1,000 people instilled in Dr. Etue the belief that community is everything. Patient or not, he hopes to be known not only as a trusted chiropractor, but also as a resource and neighbor whose door is always open.
When Dr. Etue is out of the clinic, he enjoys a good book and coffee, martial arts, anything outdoors, and spending time with his wife, Molly, and their two young boys, Arthur and Beau.
